| WATERBOM – Kuta-Bali, Indonesia – November 2009
The Waterbom, Bali water slides slice through 3.8 hectares of landscaped tropical parks and is home to 16 waterslides. The general manager of this first class water park in Indonesia contacted SlideRenu® to request a comprehensive master restoration plan only one year after a local contractor on the island painted several of their slides with an epoxy paint. Due to the lack of effective UV blockers in epoxy paints, the slides showed severe signs of color fading, chipping and oxidation. SlideRenu® was selected because it is the only coating in the aquatics industry that has been specifically formulated for color faded water slides. With labor rates significantly lower in Indonesia, Waterbom decided to purchase the coatings from SlideRenu® and have them oversee the application. “The results were incredible. Dan Tome, SlideRenu® Operations Manager, worked closely with our maintenance staff showing them how to prep the surface and spray the coatings. The slides look brand new now! We are planning to have SlideRenu® come back to work with us in refinishing seven more slides in 2010.” said Sayan Gulino – Operations Manager, Waterbom, Bali. |

The Waipouli Beach Resort wanted to re-inspire its guests by having SlideRenu® refinish its two 50 foot water slides that have become severely oxidized and dull ... after only 4 years! The gel-coated water slides did not have a chance on the island of Hawaii's where the sun shines 90% of the year. Resort management selected SlideRenu® Color Shield, Smokey Topaz, an earth tone tan color that complemented the lava rocks surrounding both slides.

KINGS ISLAND - Cincinnati, Ohio – May 2009
There are two fully enclosed translucent fiberglass tube body slides that wrap around each other in a pretzel-like manner in the water park at Kings Island. Park management wanted to bring back the luster and shine of these unique slides without enclosing the tubes. Closed, dark, long and twisting water slide flumes have been known to have an adverse physical effect on riders, namely dizziness. SlideRenu recommended its Clear Shield coating which would allow the tubes to remain translucent, as they were designed to be, while returning the high-gloss finish to the exterior fiberglass skin. The water park also has 5 run outs at the end of 2 pretzel-like slides which were refinished with Color Shield. The Maintenance Manager selected Really Teal which matched the original translucent color perfectly. |
